If you were here earlier tonight, you noticed I posted Cannon Rose, well…I was going through my pictures when I noticed that this one just had “post me tonight” all over it!
This photo was taken in my backyard over the summer. If you’ve followed my blog since I was on blogger, you might remember that I mentioned my neighbor, Carl who passed away over the summer. I remember I went exploring around the yard the day after he passed away, trying to make myself relax. This photo was one of the ones I took, and to this day 4 months later, it still puts me at ease just looking at how beautiful, and how fortunate I am to live where I do.
Photo showcased in lowest resolution rather than post it with a watermark. Photo will print at highest resolution.

Instead of picking and choosing quotes myself, I’ve decided to let you my faithful blog readers do the talking. Tonight’s first “you pick the quote” post is my bloggy friend, Jamie of PineappleLuv. I got to know Jamie on my previous blog when I did a post on different things I want to accomplish in my life. I’ve always wanted to become a better swimmer, and would like to eventually learn how to surf. She’s been an inspiration to me, and has a wonderful blog that I frequent often.
“What really matters is not just our own winning but helping other people to win, too.” Mr. Fred Rogers
“Really good surfers know that there’s always another wave…and you have to use good manners.” Eve Fletcher (81 yrs old and still surfing – she was featured as one of the surfers in the film, Surfing for Life
“When you forgive, you love. And when you love, God’s light shines upon you.” Ron Franz (played by Hal Holbrook – from the film, Into the Wild)

I don’t know if any of you know anything about wordpress, but I am bummed….it won’t let me leave comments on blogs anymore. 😦 If it continues to act this way, I’m going back to blogger. I like typepad but I refuse to pay to have a blog! Just note, I am being silenced! I want to leave you all comments and tell you how much I love your posts….but I’m being (in the words of Rachel Zoe) shut it down!
Change your thoughts and you can change your world. – Norman Vincent Peale
